BUSINESS LITIGATION

We represent clients in all aspects of business litigation, including trials and appeals in state and federal courts. When appropriate, our lawyers also resolve disputes through administrative proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. And because of our lengthy experience in bankruptcy matters, when disputes must be resolved in the bankruptcy courts – a common occurrence these days – we are well prepared to litigate there.

We have successfully prosecuted some of the most significant and bitterly contested litigation on insider wrongdoing in the state’s history, obtaining a judgment in excess of $22 million (see Hicks v. Midwest Transit decisions in Terry Sharp’s Reported Cases); we are experienced in both prosecuting and defending cases involving alleged fraud and fraudulent transfers; and we have successfully both prosecuted and defended cases under the Racketeer-Influenced & Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). We handle antitrust, franchising, securities and other complex cases, and we have a significant practice in creditors’ rights. We litigate contract and commercial matters, both routine and unusual, and seek equitable remedies where appropriate.
