OUR HISTORY

For more than 30 years, the Law Office of Terry Sharp provided quality legal services to individuals, businesses and other organizations in Southern Illinois. Founded by CPA Terry Sharp, the firm developed a reputation for quality services, especially in estates and probate matters, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, real estate, business disputes and related litigation. As word spread, Sharp was recognized by the major lawyer-rating organization with its highest ratings for both legal ability and ethical practice. The firm helped organize a new water company for Jefferson County, and four major title insurance companies chose it to represent them in real estate matters in the region. When the Leading Lawyers Network was formed, Sharp’s peers voted him into it.

In 2004 Sharp reached out to fellow University of Illinois alum John Hundley, who also had obtained the highest ratings from the leading lawyer-rating organization while practicing law in Chicago for 25 years and who was looking to return to the region of his youth. They became partners in The Sharp Law Firm, P.C., additional attorneys were hired, and in 2006 the Firm moved into its new facilities.
