A Mt. Vernon native, Terry Sharp obtained his B.S. in accountancy from the University of Illinois in 1970 and his law degree from its College of Law in 1973. His practice during the subsequent years has resulted in more than 75 published opinions, and he is frequently asked to write and lecture on legal matters. Among many honors, he has been voted by his peers into the Leading Lawyers Network, and to its state Advisory Committee, and to the highest rankings given by Martindale-Hubbell, the nation’s leading premier lawyer rating organization. His areas of practice include agricultural law, bankruptcy and its alternatives, corporate law, creditors’ rights, real estate, banking and commercial litigation.
