Vernon is home to the Illinois Appellate Court for the 5th District, and to the Circuit Court for the 2nd Judicial Circuit.  Its legal community conveniently services the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts in Benton (pop. 6, 800) 22 miles away, and its proximity to Interstates 57, 24 and 64 allows The Sharp Law Firm to efficiently service client needs in Circuit Courts throughout Southern and South-Central Illinois, as well as the federal courts in East St. Louis and Central Illinois.
